Joe Driscoll has gained fame over the last decade for his remarkable blend of folk, funk and hip-hop. Sekou Kouyate is from Guinea and is know as one of the most unique and gifted players of the kora, the 21-stringed West African harp. These amazingly innovative and unique artistic forces combined to create an exceptionally individualistic musical reaction. Joe Driscoll and Sekou Kouyate first met in 2010 at a festival in Marseille, France and their incredible combination of talents was evident in their mesmerising live shows and lively debut album, Faya, which was released by Cumbancha Discovery in 2014. Performing as a quartet which is backed by drums and bass, Driscoll and Kouyate have performed at hundreds of festivals and venues across Europe, North America and Africa, earning ecstatic reviews whenever they set foot on stage.
