Since bursting onto the scene in 2008, these Australian musical darlings are changing the way we look at classical music for good. During their performance the concert hall is transformed to a nightclub, concert blacks are replaced with glitter and lace and musical virtuosity is at its apex. Ilythia are without question giving birth to a new era of classical music. The ensemble comprises of violin, soprano, piano and two pole & aerial artists. The talented violinist can also be seen fire eating or playing standing on her head during the show.

The versatility of Ilythia’s Classical Music & Circus Show appeals to concert goers of all ages and styles. Ilythia have presented concerts with a diverse range of artists, from internationally acclaimed didgeridoo player William Barton to world renowned pole dancers Miss Suzie Q and The Aussie Pole Boys. The extraordinary talents of this slightly quirky troupe have been recognised by some of the world’s top classical musicians including the incomparable Nigel Kennedy. Ilythia’s violinist Sonja is currently sharing the stage in concert halls across Europe with Mr Kennedy on his world tour.

Ilythia’s primary vision is to present, promote and nurture the fine arts in new and interesting ways.

Standard Length of the Classical Music & Circus Performance: The full show runs for a duration of 1.5 hours with a 15 minute break, however it can run for as long or as short as is required.
