Singing Waiters

HV Singing Waiters have an ability to change a simple dinner into a fantastic event. The impromptu singers have a unique performance that creates an enchanted elevated atmosphere, surprising guests with a role reversal from waiter to performer, from table to stage, singing together in glorious 4 part harmony, with live instrumentation or with orchestral backing tracks.

The act usually performs with two, three or four singers with pianist, recorded backing tracks or the unique a cappella ensemble of four singers performing in harmony without the need for any backing accompaniment.

HV Singing Waiters’ unique and impressive a cappella act (unaccompanied, with no backing tracks) requires four voices (soprano, mezzo, tenor and bass) or male barbershop style quartet. This act is particularly one of a kind because they perform with our own specially arranged four part versions of popular opera, favourite show tunes, and modern music. Unlike other acts this one is not tied to recorded or piano accompaniment and is therefore extremely flexible about where to perform and can easily conform to any event regardless of the physical and technical limitations of the venue. This act is ideal for parties of up to 80 guests.

The waiters first set typically begins as they quietly blend with the regular wait staff and guests becoming increasingly clumsy, creating an entertaining scene in the middle of the room typically just after the main course has been served or during the drinks reception, which culminates with the performers breaking out into song. The singers then give a bow and depart for a short break and costume change reappearing, usually during desserts, in formal dress to sing a second set.

Standard Length of Performance:

1 or 2 x 20 minute sets, but also happy to sing for a shorter performance.
