Her enduring friendship with RuPaul and immersion in the gay community throughout her life eventually led to a spot as a judge on the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, as a respected and popular figure in the industry. Michelle Visage also judges on the spinoff show RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars. Referred to by many as a female Simon Cowell, Michelle Visage maintains a tough but fair style of judging on the show, often dividing public opinion but claiming she does it for the best interests of the contestants so that the can be their best selves.
Outside of the show Michelle Visage has also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, a fan-favourite due to her maternal and strong personality she eventually went out in fifth place much to the surprise of many who had pegged her to win. Additionally, Michelle Visage co-hosts a popular podcast with friend and fellow judge RuPaul called ‘RuPaul: What’s the Tee?’ where the pair talk about pop culture, beauty tips and prominent issues as well as inviting celebrity guests to chat. The podcast won a Webby Award for Best Host in 2018.
